Overview

Jesus says, “A new commandment I give you, that you love one another.” I have a book entitled, “One Anothering.” It says there are twenty-some times in the New Testament that the phrase [do something such as] love, pray for, care for, encourage … one another. That’s a lot. And isn’t that what Jesus really wants us to do; love, pray for, care for, encourage one another? Yes, it’s a commandment he gives us to love one another.

The commandment goes beyond an attitude or a feeling. It is a command for us to love one another unconditionally and uncompromisingly. Our love for one another is our Christian witness to the world. It is how we are to be known. How will the world know us? — By our love.
