Sermon Title:             When We Are Lifted Up

 Sermon Theme: We are lifted up by God and called to share the good news of Christ with the world and the wonderful thing is this gift does not just affect one person; it is not used up in a flash of light or a puff of smoke.  Rather it gains power as it is shared and as our faith grows. Does this mean that there is no room for miracles?  Of course not.  What it means is that we must reexamine our understanding of what is miraculous, and what is holy.  For through the power of God the ordinary has been made extraordinary; our teaching, our proclamation, our lives of service, and our prayers can and will change the world.  But only if we respond to the gifts of God through service.
