Sermon Title:             Christ’s Abiding Love

Sermon Theme: To many the great commandment seems impossible.  Human beings are just not made to love everyone.  It is a nice thought, good to teach the children in Sunday School, but when it comes down to it we barely tolerate others.  But the good news today and every day is that the resurrection of Jesus Christ provided a new example of how to live and work in the world. We did not choose Christ, Christ chose us and that means that we do not have to be afraid.  Even though we feel like we cannot live up to the responsibilities set for us, even if we don’t know if we can follow Jesus’ commands, we know that God is in control and God will prevail in the end.
