Sermon:                      Lord! Increase our Faith!

Sermon Theme:         Being a Christian can be difficult.  It means doing what is right even when it is hard.  It means suffering for the faith and forgiving the unforgivable simply because we are called to do so.  We don’t do these things because we expect a reward; we follow God’s will on earth because it’s the right thing to do.  We do not expect repayment for our service because we can never repay the debt we owe God for the sacrifice of Jesus for our sake.  Today we hear straightforward words that can be hard to hear.  Jesus places great responsibility on each of us and expects us to listen.  But, Jesus knows that we are not perfect but this is why we are united in service, this is why the Holy Spirit was given to us, and this is why Christ remains with us.
