Overview

In the Gospel lesson Jesus is letting the disciples know that their question about when Jesus will return is the wrong question. It is not about day or hour, sooner or later. The question should be what the disciples are going to be doing in the meantime, in the now until Jesus returns.

In my opinion it is pure folly to try to figure an exact date for Christ’s return. Instead just be ready. Live in the present as Easter people. Live with the resurrected Christ in you and you be the living Christ in the world before he returns.
