Sermon Title:             Running Out of Oil

Sermon Theme:         As followers of Christ, we are called persevere in the faith until Jesus returns. This means that we are to be wise with our resources, support our congregation and its ministry, and find ways to share our gifts.  Good Christian stewardship is not only wise; it is a way to connect with God, to say that we trust in our Creator, and to strengthen our faith.  If we are wise, if we open ourselves to the love of God, and receive oil for our lamps then we have nothing to fear.  We may fall asleep at times, and the oil may run low, but in the end, Christ will come, and we will find that we will never be empty again.
