Sermon Title:             The Saints of the Church

Sermon Theme:         Today we celebrate All Saints Day in which we remember those Christians who came before us and supported the work of the church as a whole.  We recall the members of First Christian Church who dedicated their lives to service and humbly followed the will of God; but we are also reminded that we are all Saints of the church, called to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God.  We have been given a great task, to live to harmony with others, weep with the mourning, and laugh with the joyful.  We are called to be righteous, but not self-righteous, putting the needs of others before our own and living as servant leaders.
