Sermon:                      Stay With Us

Sermon Theme:         The story of the journey to Emmaus and back to Jerusalem is only half of a chapter.  We never hear about Cleopas or his companion again, but this story burns in our hearts and minds because it reminds us of our own experience with Christ.  We too ask him to, “Stay with us”, to remain a part of our lives.

This Easter season we are called to live out the resurrection story, for we know that just as Jesus returned from death so too are we provided new life.  This transformation, this knowledge of our place in the eternal, is so wondrous, it begs, it pleads, it demands to be spoken and shared.
