Sermon Title:   Pentecost is the birthday of the church, but it is more. Pentecost is a reminder that the gift of the Spirit, which filled the disciples that day, is still being given.  It is poured out through the gifts of God and the love we share in Christ. The Spirit continues to revitalize the church by turning aside our fear and empowering us to move forward in faith and love.  Our church, our faith, is still active and alive if we continue to proclaim the good news with fiery speech and it the winds of change continue to blow, shaping and changing our community into something new and refreshing.
