Sermon:                      From Palms to the Cross

Sermon Theme:         Holy Week has come; and we also enter this time of joy.  We want to be a part of the celebration, disciples who shout Jesus’ name.  We want to rub elbows with the apostles and with our Savior in this time of the fulfillment of prophecy.  Yet, this week we will also weep as Jesus eats a Last Supper with his followers, is betrayed by a friend and denied by another, is unjustly tried and tortured, and placed on a cross where he dies.

Sorrow and Joy converge this week, we are filled with so many emotions that after the experience we feel wrung out and empty, but the time will come when we will be filled again.  Morning will dawn, the tomb will be empty and we will sit in wonder at the glory of God.
