Sermon:                      We Are All Witnesses

Sermon Theme:         Each of us has had times in out lives when we did not know what to say or do in an emotional situation.  Friends or family members are in pain and we are floundering and very aware of our limitations, yet somehow we say what is needed or our very presence brings comfort that we did not know we could provide.  Afterwards, we cannot remember what we said and we have no clue how we helped those who were present.  This is when we experience what Peter received at Pentecost, the presence of the Spirit. God uses us to give what was needed at the moment, not for our satisfaction, but to meet the needs of those around us.  God will provide what is needed to spread the mission and message of Christ, or responsibility is to get out of the way and open ourselves to the power the Spirit.
