Overview

Thomas was a realist. He had his hopes in Jesus dashed once, he wasn’t going to fall for it another time. “Unless I see the nails marks in his hands, and put my finger where the nails were, and my hand in his side, I will not believe it.” Thomas struggled with his doubts for a week. Notice he was not rejected and judged by his fellow apostles. He wasn’t excluded from the group for not believing. In like manner, we don’t exclude people just because they are searching, questioning, and asking. For me such searching and questioning is a springboard for greater faith and greater understanding. Come to church. Bring your doubts and fears, your questions and hopes to Jesus and you’ll be amazed by grace and uplifted in love!
