Rev. Dr. Cameron Douglas
The Rev. Dr. Cameron Douglas began as the Interim Minister at First Christian Church Huntsville, Alabama, March 2024. He has been in Christian ministry since 1981 (a high school teacher before that) and he has served in interim ministries since 2014.
Rev. Douglas was born in Niagara Falls, New York, attended Anderson University and Purdue University, both in Indiana. He earned his Masters of Divinity at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, and was ordained in 1985. He completed his Doctorate of Ministry degree at Anderson University School of Theology in 2003. He served four congregations in Indiana for over twenty-five years before coming to Alabama, January 2006.
Rev. Douglas and his wife, Diane, live in Decatur, Alabama, and have two daughters and five grandchildren. Diane is a retired special needs teacher from the Morgan County school system. They have been married 50 years. Cameron enjoys reading, writing, preaching, and ministering to the needs of the congregation he is serving.
