VINTAGE VAGABONDS JULY 23 TRIP

VV will travel to the Swiss Pantry and Falls Mill near Belvidere, TN, about 35 miles NE of Huntsville on Thursday, July 23, departing FCC after gathering in Family Services at 9:00 places and the sign up sheet will be on the Volunteer desk in the office from July 2nd to 20th when registration ends. Participants need to choose a sandwich from the Swiss Pantry menu and indicate preference for going by bus or car.

Swiss Pantry is a delightful sandwich shop, bakery, bulk food store specializing in fried pies, breads, and cookies. There will be a little time for shopping built in to the schedule. We will pay individually at the pantry and take our lunches to a picnic pavilion at Falls Mill. After lunch, we will tour the 1873 mill and museum ($3 admission paid there). We will depart the mill at approximately 1:30 for return about 3:00 PM. Contact Sue Seward for more information.

Looking ahead: Vintage Vagabonds are invited to Carolyn Brown’s lake house near Scottsboro on Thursday, Aug. 20, for a pot luck salad lunch from 11-2. That happens to be Carolyn’s birthday, so there will be cake! Mark your calendars now and watch for more details the first week of August.
