Sermon Title:             The Calm After the Storm  

Sermon Theme:         The text for today reminds us that we too can find the calm after the storm.  Jesus is there to control the winds of fear that assail us, our community is there to support us when we are afraid, the Holy Spirit is there to strengthen us; but what is our call after peace has been restored and we are safe once again?

Just like the disciples we are to provide this same message of comfort and hope to all people.  You do not have to look hard to find someone who is in need of care and compassion and it is our responsibility to model the love of Jesus and offer support through loving words and helpful action.
