Sermon:                      Seeing and Believing

Sermon Theme:         The writer of John provides the story of Thomas to remind us that we all have doubts, we all have fears, we all want proof, something that we can see, feel and experience to remind us that God is there and God will provide for us.  However, I believe that Thomas is not the only character we should identify with in this story.  We need to see ourselves as Christ, for the church is the body of Christ.  In the face of all that is evil and broken in the world we need to reach out to others, show them our wounds, and offer them the healing and peace that can be found in faith.
