 Sermon:                      “There is no Life, Except by Death”

 Sermon Theme:  Today’s scripture passage reminds us that Christ’s sacrifice on the cross is something that we cannot understand; it is something we have to see.  It is to be lifted up high, forced into our view of the world, and placed before any procession that attempts to move toward God. This morning we are passing the point of no return with Jesus.  We can go where he goes; we can be led by the Holy Spirit and motivated by the power of Christ’s grace. We can sacrifice for the sake of others, turn to God for strength, and experience the miracle that is our faith. We have a choice, to sit in our pews and continue with business as usual or enter into new places of intimacy with God.
