Sermon Theme: What do you hope for? How do you handle the waiting for what you are hoping for? Hope is more than just wishing. Hope in God is a certainty, for God can do what people cannot do. To have God is to have hope.

Abraham is cited more frequently in Paul’s letters than any other historical figure except Jesus. Abraham’s life was marked by mistakes, sins, and failures as well as by wisdom and goodness, but he consistently trusted God. His faith actually increased as the time of waiting went on. Can our faith do the same?
