Sermon:                      The Family of God

Sermon Theme:         In the church we also spend a great deal of time together; we see each other at our best and at our worst.  But we are a family; we work with one another, forgive each other, and strengthen one another.  However, families can also be very insular and we have to be willing to let others into our community and into our hearts.

The welcome we share on our signs and brochures has to fill our sanctuary and leave with visitors as they exit the door and move into the community.  If we do not follow up on this welcome as individuals and as a church we are not living in hospitality and we are not welcoming Christ in our midst.  What good is a welcome if we do not mean it?
