Sermon:                      Entertaining Angels Unaware

Sermon Theme:         What makes something funny?  Comedians will tell you that it is a surprise, an idea, an event, or a person that is unexpected and unanticipated.  For Abraham and Sarah this was God.  As Hebrews put it, they entertained Angels unaware, and we know that God kept this promise.  They had a son and Abraham remembered what happened, he named his son Isaac, which means she laughs, but this time not is disbelief but in joy.

In the same manner we know that God will keep God’s promises to us.  The church will grow, the budget will be met, new programs will be formed, the denomination will continue to thrive, and we will be a part of God’s plans for the world because nothing is impossible for God.
