Sermon:                      Mold Us and Make Us

Sermon Theme: We all have faults, imperfections that cause us to become unsteady and may lead to collapse, but if we trust God, and open ourselves to the will of our Maker, even our imperfections can be used to create something unique and useful.

Jeremiah saw all this in the work of a common potter.  Where do we see the actions of God, where do we hear the voice of the Creator calling us to become something new?  Do we see it in art or hear it in music, do we understand it in the beauty of nature or the joy of children, do we see God in others, or while we are alone quiet and still. And when we do, are we prepared to acknowledge this voice, or do we close our ears, choosing to rely on ourselves and our own vision of the world?
