Sermon:                      Making the Magic Real

Sermon Theme:         How do we continue to live and work as Christians in the world making the Kingdom of God a reality?  It would mean letting go of our fears, our fear of change, of difference, of failure, and recognizing that there are problems to solve.  The church would become more flexible and organic as opposed to structural and set in its ways.  It would be based on the needs of the community as opposed to the needs of a few.  It would be based on service, not success or survival.  We would have to sacrifice some things, be accountable to each other to God, we would have to listen to each other and really hear instead of becoming defensive.

Most importantly the church would need to find their direction from God and to accept that this congregation is not ours, it is the dwelling place of God, filled by the great cloud of witnesses, it is what was promised not just to us but to Christians of all times and places.
