Scripture:                   Ephesians 3: 14-21

Sermon Title:             “Christ in the Church”

Sermon Theme:         For Paul, God, Christ, and the church are not separate entities but are so closely conjoined that they constitute a whole.  Christ is in his church!  This is the key message of this section and perhaps of the whole letter.  Christ has not left us.  He did not disappear when he rose into heaven; Christ is still with us through the Church.  God is still on earth working with and through us.  The Spirit empowers us to do the will of God on Earth.

Paul tells the readers that we are so intimately intertwined with each other and with God that we become a corporate reality rooted in Christ but given wings to soar by God.
