Sermon:                      Walking on Dry Land

Sermon Theme:         In our own lives we all experience times in which our backs are to the wall, where we feel trapped, lost, alone, and unsure of the future.  In these times we cry out to God for help, but often we do not recognize the path that God has planned for us because it takes us into strange and unfamiliar territory.

How many times has God invited us into divine partnership and we have refused, believing that we are inadequate to do what is needed?  We forget that success or failure does not depend on us, but on the power of God, all we are asked to do is have faith, and God will make a way. Together, we can walk on unexpected dry land, realize that our Creator is present with us, and when we are liberated we will celebrate reminding the world of the glory of God.
