Sermon Title: What’s In a Name?
Sermon Theme: I know the power of a name. If one of the kids is acting up all I have to do is say their name in that tone of voice and they will freeze. They know they are in trouble. In the same manner I see them smile when I say their names in a loving manner. I think this is similar to the joy we know when we understand that God knows us by name, and that God cares for us so much that our Creator shared God’s name with us. That name is still vibrant, alive and meaningful, Yahweh, “I am always with you, I am always there, and I will always love you.”
