Sermon:                      Lessons from the Table

Sermon Theme:         Nothing is more serious to Luke than the dinner table.  This is where the Last Supper was shared and a revelation of the risen Christ understood.  The disciples were eating when Jesus shared the promise of the Holy Spirit and the great commission and it was through table fellowship that Jews and Gentiles were reconciled in the early church.

When you receive nourishment from Christ you must expect anything but the ordinary.  Using everyday situations Jesus shares with us the extraordinary nature of the Kingdom of God and of our place within it.  He reminds us that the Kingdom is not just something to look forward to; it is already here.
