Sermon:                      Embracing Blessings and Woes

Sermon theme:          It think it is difficult for us to accept that we are blessed by God because we know that in doing so God calls us to respond, and we are not sure if we are up to the task.  We are satisfied with our life as it is now, we can get by with things as they are, we are comfortable, and do not want to accept any more responsibility.  It is difficult enough to care for ourselves and our family let alone anyone else.

God’s blessings are as close as treasure buried under your stove. They are not dependent upon anyone else’s judgment for God willingly offers them to all of us; and as the Body of Christ, we are called to share these blessings with others. All we have to do is trust in God and believe we can make difference in the world.
